The partnership with Diven School officially kicked off in February, 2007.  The goals of this partnership are to enable Rotarians to use their own personal talents and knowledge to foster greater academic and personal skills for Diven students as well as to enhance career development opportunities for these students.  Here are ways for Rotarians to stay involved with Diven School over the summer months:

1. Backpack Program donations—collected on an on-going basis—to be sent home with weekly with Diven children throughout the school year--please bring donations to Rotary meetings:

a.       Personal size, non-perishable food items such as fruit, soup, cheese and crackers, pasta etc.

2. Summer School---Diven is operating their own 6 week summer school program—Rotarians can get involved by:

a. Sign up for “Read to Me” sessions

Sponsor buses for field trips

3. School Supply Drive—August, 2007, Katrina Stanton will chair, information will be forthcoming.
